Our dog Nine got a new bed

Nine

This is our NINE. If you read our "About" page, you would've seen our dog before and you might see that he looks different. He's a mix and when we cut his hair short, he looks like a poodle. When his hair gets long, he looks ...well... different. But to our eyes he's cute no matter what!

We are not exactly sure of his age since someone gave him away to us some years ago. Back then he was almost like a stray dog. All dirty and VERY sensitive (he would always bark and tried to bite anyone who was trying to pat him. I think he thought we were gonna hit him or something.) We don't know what happened to him before he met us, but he used to run away and hide really fast if he hears ANY loud noise. And if we touch his tail or anywhere near his rear side (even accidentally) he would bite his tail. We felt sorry for him. Obviously he wasn't loved and I don't even wanna think about what happened to him before. But we believed that "love" would change him eventually and it really did change him.

Couple years after, he started to be more friendly and became more approachable. He would even come close to people and ask us to pat him ( by scratching and giving us a meaningful look!). He also started to recognize who the FAMILY is, so he wouldn't bark if a family member(even the relatives visited) but jumps around and greets the family.  "Love," "home," and "family" could easily be taken for granted, but whenever we see our Nine, we get reminded of how powerful those are.

Even our baby is getting old and he started to like furry and warm things (He didn't like anything near him before like I mentioned before.). Since Maryland is getting colder, I've got him a new cushiony and fluffy bed just for him.

As soon as I got it out, he got himself comfortable without ANY hesitation. Guess he knew it was for him. I guess dogs get wiser with age too.

Labor day Weekend BBQ-Choptank River, MD

I went to Choptank River bridge on Saturday, August 30. I don't know if it was the traffic scare, but we had NO traffic problem Eastbound. tolleastbound baybridge
However, I saw westbound cars stuck in traffic probably because at that time they only opened one lane westbound. westbound
With luck I was able to avoid ANY traffic both ways (If there were any that is...)! But my sister wanting to visit Longwood Garden, PA got stuck in traffic real bad that she had to turn around. Maybe everyone turned their way to the other way and ended up getting into another traffic jam.

Labor Day Weekend

It's our last official summer holiday. Boo hoo..goodbye summer~

I'm sure we all have been busy with all the back to school and adjusting to the new schedule, but we still have a three day weekend to celebrate!

Unfortunately, those of you who are in Baltimore, Maryland area I hope you know that our route to Ocean City or delaware beaches will be CRAZY this year. baybridgeOn top of our usually expected labor day traffic, I found out from my co-worker that baybridge needs repairs for about three weeks and will be shutting one lane eastbound. If you visit baybridge website, you'll be able to find out live traffic information and suggestions for your traveling time. So if you are still going, let us know how it went when you come back. I'm not going to the beaches, but I'll be going night fishing. We'll see how that one goes.

But remember not to let those traffic problems hinder you from enjoying your last summer vacation! I think it's the matter of how you view things. Remember, wherever you are going and whatever you are planning to do, ENJOY doing it!
