But the scenery was beautiful although I'm not sure if the fall foliage was there... I saw little autumn colors but leaves were already starting to fall probably because of heavy rain and wind these days.
But still it was beautiful~!

I was told that we will be walking on the trail but I wasn't informed that it would be that steep and chilly since the trail had waterfalls and late in the day...sigh...

Water trailing down right next to the trail...and I saw many people coming back to the beginning of the entrance with DIY walking sticks from broken branches...uh oh...that steep?

This was the beginning of the trail...just fine and beautiful..can you see how late we went there?

Then, it started to get steep downward and it was muddy in most places too...my goodness..scared to death that I might slip right down! Ahhhhhh~~! Whew...but got down just fine. And everybody was crowded here..

Waterfall~! Everybody all bundled up nice and warm!

We went down some more and oooo~worth the effort...beautiful rest stop.

I went to Trail A (I think) and it was now a flat but stony trail...I guess horses pass by too..'cause my friend Kyu ummmm stepped on the horse's ...LOL....we started to look for our own walking sticks too! Kyu found really nice one..and mine was little bent but usable.

Overflow was passing through the trail and yay~we had our hiking sticks to cross with.

That's Kyu with her hiking stick. She was determined to go to the end of the trail but deeper we went, no people were in sight so we turned back. Got scared little. But it was beautiful everywhere~!

Climbing back...was not fun though. My thighs were burning and my hiking sticks were great help. So I left my stick leaning near the entrance. Hopefully someone puts it into good use!

Then, another 2hr motion sickness...Next time (if we ever get energy to ride the car for another 4hours roundtrip) we will be better prepared with snacks, drinks, and warmer clothes and shoes. Ooooo~ fun...I'll make sure I won't eat Kimbob in the car next time. You be careful too with Kimbob since it get spoiled easily so just buy enough to eat once.

The way back home, we stopped by Annandale, Virginia (Korean town) and ate hot pot/Jungol at Annangol Restaurant. I was too hungry and too tired to take any pictures, but will post separate post for this restaurant.

I would definitely go back  there minus the car ride...

Luckily my side was 'less' flooded compare to the other side where a river was forming on the road, so I was able to get out from there whew... Swam through it Ha ha.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I've never seen any flood like this in Ellicott City before. And there was a guy on a motorcycle. I felt sorry for him. He was soaked... I hope he got home ok. I guess he was the one who really swam through that flood.

What's going on with Maryland area!!!
First the earthquake in Maryland? Hurricane Irene in Maryland Causing half million power outage? One of my friends JUST got power back...and then flooded roads?

Wow... Maryland is used to heavy snowy winter stuff, but nothing like these that happened all so closely to each other.

I'm afraid to say this but what's next?...

But...I guess there's more to talk about when we start a conversation with anyone about the weather these days...

No offense to V8. It's nutritious and all thank you for that. But I am craving so much different tastes.
And it's killing me. Argh.

So I'm blending watermelon and eating ice cream. Sigh. Mom got me some Mul Nangmyun.

That was the best part but can't eat much of noodles. Still it calmed my swelling cheeks and tasty too...Yummm

We tried steamed eggs with milk...but I'm getting ultra sensitive  taste buds and couldn't stand the milk smell... and it's not what I wanted... I'm soooo hungry ...Sob sob. Some kimchi and rice will be nice...sob sob

Any ideas for filling foods? Sob...

**UPDATe: found some other foods I can eat..!**

1. Soft Tofu with sprinkles of sesame oil is the best!

2. I tried mac and cheese (mom boiled it extra long) but it was still kinda hard to eat.

3. I am going to try scrambled eggs ... planning to mix extra water to make it extra soft. That was OK.

4. Oh and I had lukewarm Miyuk Gook that was good too.

5. Canned fruit..I got sliced peaches...yay

6. Mashed Sweet Potatoes-just added milk to soften it up! Thought that was better than mashed potatoes with gravy.

It's getting fun now...LOL

7. Dad found all different kinds of V8 for me too. Thanks dad! Maybe I should try making slush with these...!

Please ignore the little (?) dent on the little guy. What was your best when you couldn't eat after a tooth extraction.

It's been about a week now...but I still can't eat all the things I want...still suffering lower left...sigh...

I DO NOT WANT another tooth extraction anymore...

My coffee~ ahhhh. I like it black. Dark roast with a hint of hazelnut.

I'm trying this drinking with a straw thing. Yes, it's hot coffee. I love coffee so I usually drink water or rinse out right after but people use straws to prevent staining your teeth? Wanted to try it out. Does this help? It should...right? Feels little weird but it's fine. It's like using cup sleeves for your iced drinks because it's too cold to hold on to with my bare hands...right??

What a way to start a new year Ha ha...

I love to eat and enjoy all different kinds of food and love to enjoy all the different tastes....not these days...Wahhhhh~

I am beginning to understand why some people just choose food for 'survival' or 'fuel' rather than as an enjoyment.I am proud of my sensitive taste (buds)...I can taste little difference when my mom tries something new and she can't fool me. I guess my sense of smell goes with it too. And now I CAN'T TASTE NOR SMELL ANYTHING!!!

Meat tastes like...chewable rubber...vegetables tastes like crunchy rubber...soup tastes like water...I tried many different things but only thing I can tell was if it's hot or not...

Thanks to my parents I was lucky enough to eat many different kinds and so far only thing I was able to taste hint of it was KIMCHI. WOW

I just ate Kimchi Ramyun made by my lovely Mama Young ^^

Guess KIMCHI has too many flavors to please the taste buds that the flu couldn't get to Ha ha..and I was able to taste just little bit for a second... ah finally A FLAVOR~!!!!!
