Allgreen Market-Poongnyun Foodcourt in Glen Burnie, MD

Remember the Fresh World International Market in Glen Burnie, MD?
Allgreen International Market
It is now under new management called Allgreen. Fresh World seemed to focus more on Latin groceries and etc. I couldn't really find good amount of Korean stuff. But Allgreen seem to organize aisles nicer with clearly labeled aisle signs. I'm not sure how much more Korean stuff they got though...if you know, please let us know if the change is better.

Well for my quick glance, other than the sign and some aisle changes (seemed like they are still figuring out where to place what...very far right wasn't used at all...) nothing much changed. Next time I get to go there, I'll look more into their inventory. Oh, they actually blocked the way to the cashier from the entrance side. I think they did it so that the traffic could flow through all the other side.

Anyhow...Poongnyun Restaurant or the food court remains the same along with the sushi bar. This time we tried Bibimbap (Many Namool/Cooked vegetables served over rice) and Jjamppong (spicy Korean Chinese noodle soup) this time.
Allgreen International Market's Poongnyun Restaurant or foodcourt
Bibimbap was great! A lot of vegetables Mmmmmmmmm...and Jjamppong! my goodness it was way better than Tian. It tasted very classic or traditional should I say? Yummmm and the serving was REALLY large (I'm easy to please LOL)...my friend and I love to eat soup or stew...usually any soup or stew can't beat us (never enough...sigh...) but this Jjamppong had lots and lots for both of us....LOL. My mouth is watering...

We also bought couple sushi to-go ones (no picture sorry). Eh....it was alright but not excellent...Salmon wasn't that nice...but they had interesting rolls. I don't know you might had better experience than I did.

  1. Hi, Anna!
    Please take me there!
I am fond of Bibimbap…..mmm…. without hot paste.^*^

  2. hii sir,
i want to ask that why this all green market is closed in ritchie hwy.
    Thanks

    • Hello Zahid, only thing I know is that there was problem with Utilities. They had to close down suddenly. Hopefully they reopen soon but for now I am not sure either. I’ll update if I hear anything new. ^^

  3. What happened to AllGreen? We love that place and thought it would reopen at the end of August. It is now the middle of September. We eagerly await its return
    Peter

    • Peter, I’m sorry but allgreen will not be opening anytime soon. Other Asian market might replace allgreen market but allgreen management will not comeback. :(

  4. Thanks anna :) Its a shame to see it closed, it was a great store. I know id give a small donation or something to see it fired back up if it would help. But for now ill have to head over to the Super Grand in Laurel. Super Grand is ok, but its dirtier/not so fresh unfortunately. RIP Allgreen, you’ll be missed

    • Aww Peter,

Yeah I went there couple times too and the customer service was great.

Is Ellicott City too far? There’s H-mart in Catonsville and Lotte in Ellicott City…if Laurel one is not working out for you. I haven’t been to Laurel Super Grand but my friends in Laurel comes to Ellicott City to shop. So that place must be real bad huh….

      • I think i was just spoiled by allgreen. Super Grand is a bit “ghetto”. Theres a wig and weave shop actually inside the store next to the frozen food section :D, and its surrounded by tattoo parlors and check cashing shops.

Im down by annapolis though, so catonsville and ellicot are sadly a little far. Honestly, i mainly go to shops like these for the cheap produce prices, im “cheap” and have a hard time justifying fresh stuff prices at normal stores. Allgreen was a great find for me, allowed me to eat a lot better cheaply :)

        • Oh I see… Hopefully another Asian Market takes over that place…it might already be…it won’t be allgreen but something is better than nothing right? I’ll let you know if I hear anything ^^

  5. Hi
